Overview
Juggling multiple meetings daily drains time spent manually checking calendars. This workflow automates extracting today’s meeting titles, times, and attendees from Google Calendar, then pushes a concise summary directly to your Slack channel. It eliminates calendar digging, so teams get aligned faster and collaboration improves without lifting a finger.
The Impact
- Slash manual calendar checks. Get a ready-to-read meeting summary pushed to Slack every day.
- Boost team awareness. Share key attendees and times to keep everyone on the same page.
- Cut administrative overhead. Automate daily meeting reports to free up assistant and manager time.
- Improve distributed coordination. Ensure remote teams receive synchronized daily meeting insights instantly.
Who This Is For
- Team Leaders who want to streamline morning meeting updates to their channels.
- Project Managers coordinating across locations needing quick meeting summaries.
- Administrative Assistants automating daily meeting lists and distribution.
- Remote Teams requiring synchronized visibility on daily schedules.
- Operations Coordinators reducing manual calendar monitoring tasks.
How It Works
- Fetch Today’s Events
- The “Summarize Calendar Events” node queries Google Calendar for all events on the current UTC date.
- Generate Summary
- It formats a concise summary listing each meeting’s title, time, and key attendees or states if no meetings exist.
- Send to Slack Channel
- The summary is passed to the “Send Slack Message” node, which posts it to the specified Slack channel via configured credentials.
- Confirm Delivery
- The workflow ends after confirming the message was sent without errors.
