Overview
This template sends AirDroid Business alert events and related automation results to a chosen Microsoft Teams channel. It formats the message in fixed English, adds the event time in the selected time zone, and returns a clear execution result. That makes it suitable as a repeatable step in an alert-handling process.
The Problem This Workflow Solves
Teams responsible for monitored devices often need a consistent way to surface AirDroid Business alerts, related automation results, and the exact channel target. They must check alert details, device and group context, the event time, and any automation outcome before deciding whether follow-up is needed.
- Clear alert context. The channel message shows device, group, time, and alert details in one place.
- Automation visibility. The notification includes whether an alert also triggered automation and its reported result.
- Faster handoff. Teams receive the same formatted message each time, which makes the next response easier to read.
Who This Is For
- Device operations teams. They need alert details and device context delivered to a shared Microsoft Teams channel.
- Teams handling automated responses. They want automation status included with the original AirDroid Business alert.
- Teams using Microsoft Teams for incident visibility. They need alert information in chat instead of relying only on email.
What Sets This Workflow Apart
- Fixed English format. The workflow builds a consistent plain-text message with the same section layout for each event.
- Time zone control. It converts the alert time to the selected time zone before sending the message.
- Configuration checks. It stops on missing Teams target settings and returns a clear configuration error instead of sending blindly.
- Result reporting. It confirms whether Microsoft Teams accepted the message and returns message details when available.
How It Works
- Receive the alert event
- AirDroid Business sends the alert data, the selected time zone, and the Microsoft Teams target settings into the workflow.
- Build the notification
- The workflow checks the required alert fields, formats the event time, and assembles a plain-text message with alert and automation details.
- Send and confirm the result
- The workflow sends the message to the configured Microsoft Teams channel and returns either success details or a configuration or sending error.
What You'll Need
- AirDroid Business alert trigger
- A matching alert event must start the workflow, and the event needs the required alert fields.
- Microsoft Teams target details
- You must enter a Team ID and Channel ID for the destination channel.
- Authorized Microsoft Teams connection
- An authorized OAuth2 credential must be available for sending messages to the chosen channel.
- Optional time zone selection
- You can choose an IANA time zone or UTC offset for the event time shown in the notification.
How to Use
- Step 1. Set the destination details
- Step 2. Connect Microsoft Teams access
- Step 3. Attach the required alert trigger
- Step 4. Test with a real alert
Enter the Microsoft Teams Team ID and Channel ID, and choose the time zone used for the displayed event time.
Provide an authorized Microsoft Teams connection that can post messages to the selected channel.
Bind the AirDroid Business alert you want to forward, then save the settings for automatic runs.
Run the workflow with an actual alert event and review the returned message, status, or configuration error.
